Initial Disclosure Document

Our Regulatory Status
Scott Hardy Ltd, trading as MotoFinance, is registered in England and Wales under Company Registration Number 12678451. Our registered office is located at 4A Mottram Way, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 2DH. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Firm Reference Number 928906) and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (Registration Number ZA773591).

Our Finance Offerings
MotoFinance serves as a credit broker rather than a direct lender. We can connect you with a select group of lenders and finance options to facilitate your vehicle purchase. In this capacity, we act on behalf of the lenders during the introduction process. We do not provide personal advice or recommendations, so it is your responsibility to determine whether the chosen finance product suits your needs.

Each credit provider may offer varying interest rates and fees. As a credit broker, our job is to identify which lender from our panel is best suited to your profile, taking into account factors such as your credit history, age, age of the vehicle you wish to purchase, type of driving license held, income level, disposable income, and other criteria defined by the lenders. We aim to connect you with a lender that meets your needs, enabling you to finance the vehicle in an affordable manner. Our panel includes lenders that offer Hire Purchase, Conditional Sale and Personal Contract Purchase. The specific product available to you will depend on the lender who grants approval based on the details you provide.

Credit Searches
By accepting this Initial Disclosure Document, you consent to us submitting a credit application on your behalf to our lenders, allowing them to evaluate your eligibility for finance and provide a quotation.

Your information will first be shared with a credit reference agency, which will perform a soft credit search to determine suitable lenders. Lenders will conduct a credit search as part of their decision-making process. Any credit search performed will be recorded on your credit file. As part of the application process, a hard credit search may be conducted which will be visible to other lenders and may affect your credit score. Any additional searches will be soft inquiries, which will not impact your credit score.

Commission Disclosure
We receive a commission from the lenders we partner with, which may be either a fixed fee or a percentage of the amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay varying commission rates. The commission we receive does not influence the amount you will repay to the lender as that amount is determined by the lender itself. Our aim is to secure finance for you at the lowest interest rate you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. We will inform you what the commission amount is in good time before the Finance agreement is executed.

Privacy
We will utilise the information you provide to assist us in arranging financing for your vehicle, which may include sharing your information with our lenders and trusted partners. For more details about how we collect, use, share, and retain your information, please refer to our Privacy Policy on our website at www.motofinance.co.uk/privacy-policy/. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions regarding this policy.

Fees
We do not impose any fees for arranging the financial services we offer.
